Dear all, Quite unsurprisingly, nobody has volunteered to give the talk that should take place on 29/11. According to the records on PURE there are at least three staff members who have recently published some research articles, where by recent I mean in the past 6 months (moreover, this data is probably only partial, as for some reason none of the articles I've published in the last 6 months is recorded under CSRG, despite my affiliation to CSRG being shown on my profile page) I'll be contacting these staff members to ask them to volunteer and I hope to get a name ready by next Tuesday. It has also been brought to my attention the fact that on the 29th of November a "Research Student Supervision" session is scheduled to take place. I understand that this is only for new lecturers, as update briefings are now run online. Moreover, a second session will take place on 08/12. Since only a relatively number of us will be affected by this overlap, I suggest to run the seminar anyway, but you're welcome to let me have your feedback (asap) if you don't agree.
