Hi all,

Next Tuesday (23/01) Dr. Errol Thompson will give a talk titled "45 years
of computer science" (abstract below). The talk will take place in MB486
from 2pm to 3pm.

Abstract:
In this seminar, Errol will review 45 years of computer science looking at
some of the things that have changed and some of the issues that have
remained the same. Errol will review some of his original work on
programming languages, computer architecture, and operating systems. Having
worked in both academia and industry, Errol has both an academic and
practitioner understanding of the issues.
